ZLAT'S ALL ... David Beckham celebrates with PSG pal Zlatan Ibrahimovic
e staggered off the pitch at the Parc des Princes last night, David Beckham looked an emotional wreck.
Following a career spanning three decades, it was time to say a tearful adieu to Paris — and professional football.
With nine minutes remaining, the fourth official indicated that it was time for PSG’s No 32 to leave the field and nearly 45,000 Frenchmen rose as one to salute this bloke from the other side of the Channel.
Just 48 hours after announcing his retirement from the game, Beckham, 38, was handed the honour of captaining the newly-crowned French champions.
Beckham played a small part in Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s opener and struck the corner which led to Blaise Matuidi’s second. He was a bystander when Ibrahimovic struck the stunning third before half-time.

And then it was time to leave. Beckham embraced his 10 team-mates before walking off the pitch and hugging his boss, Carlo Ancelotti, and the rest of the PSG bench.
It seems unlikely that Beckham will feature in PSG’s final game at Lorient, so this was a fitting way to call time.

Beckham will never forget the free-kick against Greece. The sending off against Argentina. The boot in the face from Alex Ferguson and his sackload of silverware. Equally, May 18 2013 will forever be remembered.
Beckham was wearing special boots including the initials of his wife Victoria and the names of his four children — Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper.
